  Vendors: Rainbow Farm

Rainbow Farm was purchased in June 2007 by Steve and Leslie Schoeniger. From the time he was a kid, Steve always owned a tractor and hoped to eventually own his own farm.  With the purchase of this 29 acre property in Lehigh County, with century old buildings and barns, this dream came true.

While driving to the farm one day, Leslie saw a rainbow stretched across the horizon, like an entrance welcoming her into Pennsylvania. Remembering the rainbow represents God's
promise, she thought what a splendid name
for the property.  Hence, Rainbow Farm.

Our goal at Rainbow Farm is to raise high quality nutritious food.  We are very concerned about the food supply, and what it is doing to our nation's health.  Consider 1 in 166 children born in the US has autism.  That is a frightening reality and only one of many growing health epidemics related
to food and environment.

At Rainbow Farm, we do not use pesticides, hormones, or antibiotics. We raise non-certified organic chickens, eggs, beef, turkey and pork out on pasture which is rotated regularly.  The animals grow out in the sunshine, fresh air, and fresh pasture.  This is the way God intended our food source to be.  Not having thousands of animals stuffed into an industrial building with little light and no pasture.  These operations pass for organic by government standards if you can believe it.  Rainbow Farm raises it's animals in what we consider "beyond organic" and invite you to visit our farm and see how we do it.

Rainbow farm is a sustainable farm which means we care for our land in natural ways to preserve it for future generations.  We are members of PASA - Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture.  Also the APPPA - American Pastured Poultry Producers Association We fully support the idea of  Buy Fresh, Buy Local.  Why buy your food outside Pennsylvania when you can get it fresher here, and support your local farmers and economy.

We welcome questions, suggestions or special requests.

Warms Regards,

Steve and Leslie Schoeniger
