The Kids' Strawberry Play Patch will feature strawberry themed crafts and games. PLUS Holly Jolly the Clown will be on-site making her famous "fruity balloon hats" and animals from 10am - Noon.
11am – Noon: Market chef demonstration featuring Chef Scott Kresge of Quartz Hill Herb Farm. Recipes will demonstrate companion cooking with strawberries and fresh herbs. Scott will create the following dishes and offer free samples to audience members:
Beverage – Lemon Verbena/Strawberry Soda
Salad – Sweet Cinnamon Basil & Strawberry Vinaigrette over mixed greens with candied nuts and goat cheese
Dessert – Upside down cheesecake custard in a dish - with Vanilla Basil strawberries on the bottom, a lavender cheesecake custard in the middle and homemade graham crackers crumbled on top
