About the Presenters:
Joan Good is an herb gardener, culinary herbalist, and practicing aromatherapist. She combines knowledge gained through more than forty years of cooking and studying herbs and fragrance .She presents “Enjoying Nature’s Gifts” programs at the Cancer Support Community of Greater Lehigh Valley and has been sharing her knowledge of herbs for many years.  Joan has written “Herbed Morsels” a primer of simple recipes using dried and fresh herbs and enjoys creating herb seasonings and tea blends. She is a member of the Valley Herb Guild and Guild Culinary Study Group, Williams Township Garden Club, and Women of Essence.

Terry Kloiber has been studying herbs for culinary, medicinal and magical uses for over thirty years. Growing her own organic herbs, Terry is able to harvest them throughout the growing season and create infusions, tinctures and delicious additions to her cuisine.  As a member of the Valley Herb Guild, she introduces her recipes incorporating herbs to its Culinary Study Group. Terry enjoys the outdoors and also studies native plant life and their lore.

Noon – 1:00 pm - Herbal Cooking Demonstration featuring Zachary Pelliccio, Executive Chef at FLOW Bar and Restaurant in Jim Thorpe, PA.

About the Chef:
Chef Pelliccio studied Classic French techniques in Culinary school in Philadelphia and apprenticed under several Mediterranean style chefs. He specializes in California Americana cuisine, with a focus on Vegetarian, Vegan, and Slow foods. After working at landmark farm-to-table restaurants such as Farmacia in Philadelphia, Chef Pelliccio now showcases his culinary talent at FLOW.

Herb Day Activities For Kids:
Funhands-on activities like Herbal Nature Printing and The Sensory Herb Experience will get kids excited about herbs! Learn how to plant a Pizza garden with your child this summer. Free basil plant for all children participating (whiles supplies last).
