Come Celebrate America’s favorite fall fruit at the oldest, continuous open-air market in the country! Put your baking skills to the test in the annual Apple Pie Baking Contest or hone your eating skills… in the Apple Pie Eating Contest! Check out the Apple Sampling Tent where you can sample over 20 varieties of PA-grown apples. Discover some new recipes for apples at the Market Chef Demo ($3 admission) featuring Chef, Mike Pichetto of Vintage Bar & Restaurant. All attendees will enjoy generous samples, be given copies of the featured recipes and have their name entered in a drawing to win a $25 gift certificate to Vintage! For children there’s a Harvest Storytime, Apple Printing (make your own tee-shirt!) and plenty of fun apple games and crafts. Market vendors will be selling plenty of apple specialties including hot apple cider, apple fritters, caramel apples, apple pie and tarts, apple sauce, dumplings and more!
